At only 11 months old, Orion has proven himself to be an absolute joy. He exudes happiness and does not know a stranger. Whether it be accompanying me to school, waiting while we get the oil changed on the car, or shopping at our favorite Lowe’s, Orion’s calm presence seems to have a gravitational pull on children and adults alike. Everyone wants to meet him, and he is more than happy to allow it. At only 7 months old, Orion received his first Rally Obedience title. He earned his AKC Trick Dog Novice title the same day he earned his CGC, when he was only 9 months old. At 10 months, he became a UKC Champion with 2 Group 1 wins under his belt. He earned his CGCA just days after he turned 11 months old, proving to us that he will follow in the footsteps of his parents and grandmothers and become a volunteer dog with Therapy Dog International. In the Rally Obedience ring, Orion’s handler focus and excitement sets him apart. His desire to please is obvious to anyone watching, as well as his puppy attitude and sense of humor. In the conformation ring, his expression and head type get countless compliments from judges and spectators alike. In addition to this, he is not afraid to show off his goofy personality to the judges, occasionally nose targeting their hands or giving them a big kiss: This never ceases to get a laugh! Truly, Orion is the light of our lives. Ori means “my light” in Hebrew, and he has taken that name to heart. Orion continues to brighten each and every one of our days, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.
